Top 5 gourmet restaurants in Berlin

Since moving to Berlin in the Fall of 2016, I’ve had the pleasure of dining at some of the capital’s absolute top restaurants. Berlin might not be best known for its dining scene, but these venues are certainly worth traveling for. Here are my 5 favorites - plus a couple of extra recommendations.

Fischer’s Fritz

Located inside the prestigious The Regent Berlin, this two Michelin-star restaurant combines world-class gastronomy with great service and stylish surroundings. Chef Christian Lohse’s kitchen is classic and mainly fish-inspired using only the best ingredients. There’s a reason why this restaurant has been awarded two stars for the past seven years!

Facil

There’s a certain calmness about this restaurant, which is also awarded two Michelin-stars. Facil is like a peaceful and elegant oasis in the heart of bustling city. Both cuisine and interior is light, modern and delicate. French-inspired gourmet food with a view - Facil is located on the fifth floor, but there’s still plenty of greenery outside the windows, which adds to a pleasant ambience.
