Top 10 brunch/lunch spots in Copenhagen

The Danish capital is full of brunch and lunch venues for every taste and budget. Danish photographer and blogger Martina Zemanova from www.atelieroursabeille.com shares her favorite venues below.

lojos

Lo-jo’s Social

Lo-Jo’s focus was to create a small yet high quality menu designed to match
the physical experience. Be it with drinks, a quick bite to eat or ordering your favorite meal to-go, their focus point is burgers, and they draw inspiration from all over the world. Their menu is constantly changing, and they often arrange pop-up events. This venue is also very popular due to their to-die-for cocktail menu!

Sonny

This new café took Instagrammer’s by storm! It’s no surprise that all of Copenhagen’s influencers go there! You can order delicious coffee and some home made lemonade, but they also have a selection of food. And their blue to-go cups are a great accessory to any outfit J

Jagger

If you are looking for a good burger, Jagger is the place to go! With locations all around Copenhagen, it is super easy to find, and it’s absolutely delicious. Besides burgers, you can also get your hands on fried chicken, mac’n’cheese and milkshakes – the whole package! Since it is a fast food-style restaurant, you can order the food to-go and eat it outside, if you wish.

Bento

This family-owned Japanese restaurant is as authentic as it gets. It’s recommended going there for lunch, since they have a lunch offer for only 100DKK (quite cheap for Copenhagen!) On the other hand, dinner selection is quite nice as well - and cocktails a must-try! Bento is closed on Mondays.

This super cool café/restaurant in the heart of Copenhagen, is easy to reach, and you can enjoy lunch or just chill with your laptop and coffee. The staff is really nice, and the surroundings very Instagram-friendly. Tip: Are you a Photographer or blogger? The windows in the one side of the restaurant are huge, which makes the perfect lighting! J

Atelier September

Atelier September is a small cafe located on Gothersgade in the city center. It’s not new, in fact, it has been around since 1987 as a workshop – and in 2013, it was transformed into a cafe. The natural, healthy food (avocado sandwiches etc.) and artesan coffee is complimented by a minimalistic interior, which is typical for Scandinavia.

Hija de Sanchez

This Mexican restaurant undoubtedly has the best taco’s in Copenhagen! You can visit them in both Torvehallerne (food market) or in the Meat Packing District.

Their no fuss taco’s are heavenly: three for 100 DKK – don’t forget to flush it down with a Mexican beer! Their nachos are also great.
