The Square Hotel: A Central Design Hotel in Copenhagen

If you like a central location and easy access to the city, The Square Hotel is a perfect choice for a weekend in Copenhagen. Join us for an overnight stay in one of the city’s design hotels.

In the heart of the city

A hotel hardly gets more central than The Square. With a location just opposite the Town Hall Square, guests have easy access to all major sights and shopping facilities. Just outside the hotel, guests will find a cinema and a coffee shop, so there’s no excuse not to enjoy the city after check-in.

When entering the reception and lobby area of the hotel, there’s no doubt that contemporary design and minimalism dominates the interior. And whether you’re a fan of this modern approach or not, there’s a quite urban feel to it. Not for a second are you doubting the fact, that you’re standing in the center of an urban environment.

The lobby

The Square Hotel offers five different room categories. I checked in to a Standard room, for which reason I unfortunately didn’t experience the spacious settings of a Superior or an Executive room. Nevertheless, I’d recommend guests staying for more than 2 nights to reserve a Superior room or the like. There are 21 Junior Suites and 6 Junior Suite Deluxe that offers guests a splendid view of the city.
My room had free wifi, a working area, a minibar and a flatscreen TV. The best part though? The view to the Town Hall Square (even if a lot of renovation was going on just outside my window) - and a lovely gesture in the shape of a bottle of champagne and fresh fruit upon my arrival.

A view to the city center

Rooftop terrace

On the 6th floor guests can enjoy the splendid view from the rooftop terrace, and during the day it’s possible to enjoy a drink here. This is quite unique for The Square, and one of my favorite details as well. The Lounge is also located on the 6th floor. In the morning, this is where guests can enjoy their breakfast, but during the day (from 2pm), it transforms into an urban lounge area with complimentary snacks and beverages. Access to the lounge is included in the price if you’ve booked an Executive room, otherwise there’s a small charge. Personally, I enjoyed the lounge area a lot and it’s definitely not the last time I’m going there to catch up on some work while enjoying the view of the city.

Getting work done in the lounge area

The Square Hotel allures guests with its vibrant and fun location, but it’s not the place to go if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in calm surroundings. This hotel offers guests a unique opportunity to explore the city of Copenhagen by day and by night - and you’ll never get bored.
