What is a popular wellness retreat today once began as a farm in the 16th Century (that’s the first time we hear about ‘Borupgaard’). Certain areas still remind you of past times, but inside it’s mostly about modern minimalism. Ideal for conference guests, but also a breath of fresh air for leisure travelers seeking a quiet spot away from the hectic everyday life - and it’s here that the Nordic-inspired spa come into its own.

Comwell Borupgaard offers several spa packages if you wish to stay for one or two nights, but it’s also possible just to check in for a day - like we did. A so-called ‘Day Spa’ includes free entrance to the AquaSpa and fitness and a delicious spa lunch, which is almost going for on its own 😉 Price: €95.
The Day Spa offer is only valid in week days, but once you’re there, it’s recommended to take at least half a day off to enjoy the surroundings. On sunny days, relax in the outdoor jacuzzi and on the wooden terrace over-looking the garden. Or wind down in the lounge area after a treatment with a cup of herbal tea and a some snacks. Pure bliss!
The experienced spa staff offer a wide range of treatments; from pedicure and facials to hot stone massage and scrubs (NB! There are special rates on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s!)
