A quick update on social media, book & business

Like most other people working with media-based communication, I have an online and an offline version of my life. The online one deserves an update, as several new projects are in the pipeline. It includes a new Instagram profile, a growing Facebook community and a (kick-ass) new blog design. Oh, and something about a book 😉

New Instagram handle

Those of you following me on Instagram might have noticed it already; there are a few changes underway. Long story short: my account @thecopenhagentraveler was hacked a while back, and due to that, I’ve experienced a decrease in traffic over the past few months. Therefore, I’ve decided to switch from @thecopenhagentraveler to my personal account @rcrosenvinge. I’ll still be publishing photos and stories several times a week, but with slightly more varied content. The main topics of my new handle are:

  • Hotels & hospitality
  • Freelancing & entrepreneurship
  • My life as a mother in Berlin

A growing Facebook community

In the beginning of the year, I decided to launch my Facebook group Female Freelancers & Entrepreneurs for self-employed women, who wish to connect and gain weekly inspiration and motivation. There are currently 322 members, and even though I should be updating the group more frequently, new members from all over the world are still joining every week. I’m currently looking for a co-admin to help me manage the group on a weekly basis - is that you or someone you know? Then send me a mail! A few criteria: you’re a self-employed female with an interest in social media and entrepreneurship. And you preferably love to write and network.

Soon-to-be published Author

Ever since I was a child, I’ve been dreaming of publishing my own book - and now it’s finally happening! As of this coming Autumn, I can call myself a published Author and I’m so thrilled! I’m a writer by heart, so I know that this won’t be my one shot - many books are to come! 😉 The first one though, is a guide on freelancing, which targets female freelancers and self-employed (like the ones in my group!) who wish to lead a successful (and mindful) life working with what they love. I’ve been a freelancer myself for more than 5 years and have given several talks and lectures about it, e.g. in Vilnius, Copenhagen and Istanbul. Now, it’s time to put my knowledge onto paper and I can already now reveal that a bunch of cool ladies will be contributing on subjects such as networking, time management and mindfulness. The book is in Danish and will be sold throughout Danish book stores, but hopefully, the English version will follow soon! Sign up for my newsletter to stay in the loop.

New blog layout & design

Did you notice the brand new design on the blog yet? If not - click on the front page and take a look! For a long time, I’ve been wanting to implement a lighter and more elegant theme that goes more in the direction of magazine (rather than blog), and which implements my favorite topics; travel, hotels, hospitality and entrepreneurship. The “new kid on the blog” will hopefully serve you as a source of inspiration. Let me know what you think by dropping a comment below 🙂
