8 new luxury hotels to look out for in 2017

Are you as much a fan of luxury hotels and great service as we are? Then keep an eye out for these stunning new properties, which are predicted a bright future. 

1. Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An, Vietnam

Would you say no to a five star hotel located on a private beach front near several UNESCO World Heritage Sites? The new Four Seasons resort in Hoi An features 60 beachfront villas with private outdoor terraces – 40 villas have their own private swimming pool. Opened in December 2016, guests will also find 3 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, a spa, 2 restaurants and a beach bar.

2. Las Alcobas, Napa Valley, California

Nestling in the heart of the lovely wine country in Napa Valley, Las Alcobas is a stunning boutique-style hotel with 68 rooms and suites overlooking the vineyards. Did we mention that all rooms have a private outdoor terrace with fireplaces? It doesn’t get more romantic than this. There’s also a huge spa area as well as a gourmet restaurant. Las Alcobas is set to open this month.

3. Rosewood Luang Prabang, Laos

Rosewood is best known for their upscale trendy city hotels, so it might come as a surprise for many that they’re about to open this eco-friendly rainforest retreat. Located just 10 minutes from UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang, there’s nothing else than dense forest, rivers and waterfalls around the property. Pure bliss!
Guests will find 22 rooms as well as 5 luxury tents with private dining areas. Of course, Rosewood’s signature spa can also be found here. The resort is set to open early this year.

4. Hotel Eden, Rome

Once a favorite of film director Federico Fellini, the 125 year-old Hotel Eden in the Eternal City will soon opens its doors as a part of the Dorchester Collection. There are fewer rooms than before – 98 instead of 121 – but the service level remains the same. Guests can also look forward to visiting the new casual brasserie as well as the hidden library bar. Still, one of the most magnificent things about Hotel Eden is still its iconic restaurant; La Terrazza, which gives you one of the most breath-taking views of Rome. Hotel Eden is set to re-open in april this year.

5. Four Seasons Hotel London

Located at Ten Trinity Sqaure, the new Four Seasons in London can easily take the prize as being one of the capital’s most dazzling hotels. Modern design and classic decorations are carefully mixed, which adds a laid-back yet very elegant feel to the hotel. There are 89 rooms and 11 suites as well as a huge Roman-inspired spa area, a nail salon and a French restaurant run by a Michelin-starred chef. Four Seasons opens this month.

6. The Fontenay Hamburg, Hamburg

Hamburg is home to a wide array of luxury hotels, but The Fontenay is the newest addition in 18 years! Nestling on the banks of the Lake Alster, the hotel is supposedly designed to mirror its surroundings, and it is said to cost more than $100 million to build. There are 131 rooms with private balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. Facilities also include a large spa area with an indoor-outdoor infinity pool. The Fontenay will open in July this year.

7. Raffles Europejski Warsaw, Poland

This historical hotel first opened its doors in 1857, but only this year, it will re-open as part of the Raffles-family. Located next to the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, the hotel features 103 elegant rooms, a Polish restaurant, a cigar lounge and a cosy spa area in true Raffles style. Doors will open in June this year.

8. The Silo, Cape Town, Africa

The Silo is said to be the trendiest new hotel in Cape Town – and when you look at its location, it’s not hard to believe. Built in a,  historical grain silo complex, the modern hotel features 28 rooms with a direct view to the ocean.
The Silo will also offer a restaurant overlooking Table Mountain (!) as well as a spa and a rooftop pool and lounge area. It’s set to open in March this year.
